Heavenly Present is part of my ongoing Nostalgia Series, which reflects cherished memories from my childhood in Karachi, Pakistan. 
This painting is inspired by the season when Karachi’s streets overflowed with crates of mangoes, the true symbol of summer. I vividly remember my baba bringing home boxes filled with the ripest, juiciest mangoes for us to enjoy. Beyond the sweetness of the fruit, it was the ritual of neighbors and friends exchanging this gift that created a spirit of love, community, and abundance.
For me, mangoes are inseparable from memories of my father. Each summer, their golden glow brings back the comfort of his presence. This work is a tribute both to those simple, beautiful moments and to my enduring connection with him.
